A collection of more than 700 books and DVD’s on Tibet are available to researchers, journalists, scholars and the public at the International Campaign for Tibet.

The focus of the library, housed on the ground floor, are books about contemporary Tibetan history, politics, culture and religion. The library also has sections on Tibet’s environment, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, travel and tourism, refugees, art and photography. In addition, there are many works in both Tibetans and Chinese languages and a large section of reports and documents on Tibet issued by the U.S. government.

The library is open to the public Monday to Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm when the International Campaign for Tibet is open. Books must be used on the premises and a photocopier is available for limited photocopying. (No charge for less than 50 copies.)

The library also accepts donations of books on Tibet. For more information, please contact Lesley Rich at 202-785-1515 ext. 222.
