Save Tibet on the US Presidential Campaign Trail

US Elections

Right now you have a great opportunity to put Tibet on the national stage.
As the candidates campaign throughout the country and meet with voters in a variety of venues, Tibet supporters can ask the future U.S. President to take a stand on Tibet. At rallies and speeches, signs and banners you can print at home can draw attention to the Tibet issue.

Here’s how you can get involved on the campaign trail:

  • Print out these signs and bring them to campaign events. Send pictures to [email protected], and use the hashtag #SaveTibet on Twitter, Instragram, and Facebook.
  • If you haven’t already, send our Tibet presidential questionnaire to the candidates.
  • Spread the word! Inform other Tibet supporters about what they can do, and share this page.
  • If you have an opportunity to speak to a candidate in person, use one of these suggested questions:
    • “How will you promote dialogue between the Dalai Lama and the Chinese government?”
    • “Will you meet with the Dalai Lama in the White House?”
    • “What specific steps will you take to improve human rights in Tibet?”
