ICT Campaigns Intern (Amsterdam)
The International Campaign for Tibet Europe (ICT-E) is a place where committed and talented individuals work for the human rights and self-determination of the Tibetan people. We are currently seeking an intern to assist the Campaign Coordinator with a number practical and campaign tasks as part of the Race for Tibet Campaign in the run up to Beijing 2008.
Necessary qualifications:
- Be informed and enthusiastic about ICT's mission
- Have good knowledge on the Tibet issue
- Interest in grass-roots campaign work
- Excellent Dutch-language writing skills
- Good written and spoken English
- Good computer and Internet skills
- An Interest and experience in organizing sports activities and various types of events will be an asset
Intern's responsibilities will include:
- Assist the Campaign Coordinator with the implementation of campaigns
- Help with the implementation of ICT's role in the Ticket for Tibet festival
- Help in the preparation and distribution of Campaign materials
- Assist the Coordinator in the recruitment and coordination of an active network of volunteers for the Ticket for Tibet Festival
- Develop a database of sports organizations and athletes in The Netherlands
- Man ICT stands at events organized ICT or in conjunction with other organizations
- Provide support and co-organize events that are initiated by ICT-members
- Assist the Campaign Coordinator in administrative tasks
