ICT is launching a new summer season of lectures and events at its new office at Jefferson Place, Washington, DC. Highlights include the first major exhibition of contemporary Tibetan art in North America and a round-table discussion with artists and scholars.

It also includes two “meet the author” evenings with Eliot Pattison, the internationally-recognised author of the Tibetan-themed fiction book series including Skull Mantra; Isabel Losada, who will explore what one person can do to make a difference to the Tibet cause and Jeffrey Paine, DC-based author of several books on Tibetan Buddhism, who will describe the rise in popularity of a spiritual tradition that prior to 1968 was virtually unknown in the West.

The series also includes a celebration of the Dalai Lama’s birthday and a film project benefit with former political prisoner Ngawang Choephel.
